Nestled in the Crest-Cherel fortified house, the museum was built between the 13th and 16th centuries. It plunges you into the daily lives of the people of Ugine and Val-d'Arly, revealing their rural and mountain lifestyles from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. Explore over 1,500 period objects, carefully arranged in 12 themed rooms. The experience is self-paced and interactive, thanks to recently installed videos and touch screens.

Une extension a été mise en place en 2000 : le préau. Y sont disposés le gros matériel : charrues, corbillards, tombereaux ... Les fouilles y sont aussi mises en valeur.
