REFUGE DE LA MARTIN
Refuge offering a splendid panorama on the lake of Chevril and on the massif of the Mont-Blanc.
The Martin refuge is a refuge in Haute-Tarentaise. It is perched at an altitude of 2,154 metres, nestled in a mountain pasture in the Vanoise National Park. It offers a splendid panoramic view of Lake Chevril and the Mont-Blanc massif. To get there there there are many choices, but the shortest, climbed in about 1h45, will be to leave from the village of La Gurraz, parking du Chantel. Positive altitude difference of 550 meters. The reward for the effort is there: waterfalls, glacial torrents and an alpine pasture atmosphere.... A view of the Nant Cruet valley and its peaks as well as the Martin and Savinaz glaciers... a beautiful outing.
