The Les Mottets site is a protected area that offers each one of its members areas such as children's playgrounds, a skate park, huge lawns for a picnic with barbecue areas, often stormed on sunny days, benches facing Lake du Bourget, areas for observing flora and fauna including the chisel turtle (the last freshwater aquatic turtle in France). As well as a sandy beach that only charges for summer, equipped with a diving pontoon and awarded the Tourism and Handicap label. Smart, after 6pm access is free to enjoy the last rays of sunshine and water. From there, you can also walk, rollerblade, bike along the miles of landscaped banks and reach either Aix les Bains and/or Le Bourget du Lac with its restaurants. Note the possibility to go on site by bus (beach line) from Chambéry and Aix-les-Bains, some buses accept bicycles on board.
