The construction project was born in 1929. It was not until 1954 that the terminal was built, and over time it has been structured and developed to handle the traffic. More than 200,000 passengers pass through the terminal every year, most of them going on to the ski resorts. Today, this infrastructure is managed by Vinci Airports on behalf of the department. It is the closest airport to the French Alps resorts.
