The private group that owns the Darbaud cinema had planned to invest one million euros to renovate the building located in the city centre. After a year's work, the cinema was due to open its doors to the public in four new theatres, but a last-minute appeal by the town of Basse-Terre blocked the project. The cinema thus remains with a large dilapidated hall and its small more modern hall while waiting for the epilogue of this file. The programming is available by phone or on the Internet. Cinema de quartier sympathique, tarifs accessibles surtout si on est étudiant. Par contre annulation des seances à la derniere minute fréquente et non mentionnée sur leur site donc toujours appeler avant pour confirmer que la séance aura bien lieu ou tout simplement que la cinema sera bien ouvert....

Un bel établissement de cinéma avec 2 salles. Les installations ont été rénovés il y a quelques années et maintenant le confort des projections est d'un niveau très honnête. Surtout quand on voit les prix qu'il pratique comparé à la métropole. Attention au manque de place pour se garer et au risque de se faire visiter la voiture le soir.

Il y a une erreur sur les tarifs pratiqués (hors 3D) : 6.50€ plein tarif et 5€ pour les enfants - de 13 ans.
Les étudiants et séniors (60 ans et +) bénéficient également du tarif à 5€.
