PLAGE DE BANANIER
A black sand beach popular with surfers, one of the few beach breaks in Guadeloupe with waves rolling over sand.
Situated between Capesterre-Belle-Eau and Trois-Rivières, this pretty little black-sand beach may not be ideal for lounging around, but it's a delight for budding surfers. With no rocks or coral in the water, this is one of the few beach breaks in Guadeloupe. Be careful with the rollers, though, as the beach is unsupervised. Several surf schools offer lessons here. Free parking on site, but quickly saturated when crowded. There are also a number of restaurants and snack bars nearby.
