PLAGE DE LA PERLE
A long beach with golden sand and calm waters, a turtle nesting site and the setting for scenes from an English TV series.
This long beach (approx. 400 m) is very similar to Grande Anse, with its golden sands. This is the beach used for scenes in the English series "Murders in Paradise", as it is home to the inspector's house. In general, the water is calm right up to the coral reef, but the waves swamp it in periods of rough seas. Watch out for the dangerous rollers! Islet Kahouanne can be seen a little further north. This beach is a turtle nesting site, and should be respected for its preservation.
