BRASSERIE LÉKOUZ
Brewery in a beautiful setting inviting you to taste its beers made from spring water from the Saint-Claude massif.
The island's newest craft brewery opened its doors in 2018 in the heart of the commune of Goyave. The brewery is located in a lovely setting with an industrial, urban and colorful decor. On the menu, the 4 timeless 100% local beers lemongrass ginger - blondes - Amber and brown and seasonal beers that vary. The beers are made from the spring water of the Saint-Claude massif, using malt and hops selected to reflect the Creole spirit and local flavours. Yeast and mainly spices, fruits and aromatic plants from the local soil are added.
The tasting of beers can be accompanied by a board of cold cuts or cheeses. A friendly atmosphere is guaranteed on the spot, as this artistic place of 300 m², unique in the archipelago, has been entirely decorated by a host of talented local artists!
Several times a month, the brewery welcomes food trucks from the island to discover various original dishes from here or elsewhere (poutines, kassav, hot dog...) made in Guadeloupe.
Two Lekouz beers have been awarded medals at the World Beer Awards 2021. This competition with British origins, created in 2007, celebrates the best beers in the world in terms of taste and design: the Amber beer and the White-Lemon-Ginger were brilliantly illustrated and were rewarded by a bronze medal. A prize that rewards the traditional and authentic approach of the Lekouz brewery only three years after its creation.
