Since 2000, the island of Marie-Galante hosts the Terre de Blues festival, from Friday to Whit Monday. Over the years, this event has become an essential Caribbean cultural event for the island, paying tribute to the musical genre born in the plantations during the colonial period. Many local and international artists perform at each edition. On site, a festival village with an exhibition area available to artisans from all the islands of Guadeloupe to promote their expertise.
