OLD WEATHER STATION
A former meteorological station with representative architecture from the 1930s, sheltering secret, quiet coves.
All along the road, from Grande-Anse to the old meteorological station on the eastern tip, there are many secret, quiet coves. The architecture of the weather station, which is no longer in use, is by Ali Tur, as are many other administrative buildings on mainland Guadeloupe. It was used to observe cyclonic activity. The building could become a museum. Nearby, an imposing lighthouse towers into the sky. The point's cliff effectively prevents the raging sea from devouring the rocks.
