Maison de l'indigo where the master dyer offers workshops to learn traditional indigo dyeing techniques.
Ghislain, a master dyer by training, was one of the first to revive traditional indigo dyeing techniques in Guadeloupe. During workshops, he will introduce you to this know-how on fabric, but also to leaf striking: by hammering the leaves, you leave their imprint on the fabric. In addition to indigo, Ghislain is experimenting with more and more colors. His palette includes purple, a very rare color that he extracts from a shell (without harming it), a technique that is virtually unique in the world.
