WIND TURBINE PATH
A trail that takes less than an hour to reach the plateau from the D207, offering 180° panoramic views.
The plateau can be reached in less than an hour from the D207, with the bus shelter as a landmark. Then follow the concrete path. This path gives you access to superb 180° panoramas.
Given the wind that blows on the area, the island has hosted the first wind farm in Guadeloupe since 1993. These wind turbines can be folded down to the ground in case of strong winds during a storm or a cyclone. They provide part of the island's electricity. During a walk, you can meet technicians of the power station who maintain the installations.
