DACHA BEACH
A beach with clear waters, welcoming families during the day and lively at night when lit up, popular with snorkellers.
This popular little beach with its clear waters has a panoramic backdrop of the islet of Gosier and lush Basse-Terre. Numerous bars and restaurants are located here. In the evening, the beach's atmosphere becomes more lively, as it remains lit until 11pm. During the day, the beach remains quieter, although very busy, as it is very popular with Guadeloupean families, especially on weekends and vacations. It's an ideal spot for snorkeling, kayaking or pedal-boating. It's also a favorite spot for joggers, who can be found early in the morning or in the late evening when the sun's rays are less aggressive.
The first phase of the project will see the construction of a floating rope waterline between the Gosier islet jetty and Anse Canot, to enable swimmers to do so in complete safety, as kite-surfers, jet skiers and pleasure boaters, who have become increasingly numerous in recent years, no longer have access to the area. The bathing area will then be extended by a second line of water between the Anse Tabarin jetty and the îlet Gosier jetty.
Also planned is the creation of a mooring area at Anse Tabarin to accommodate yachtsmen, with light services (drinking water, cyberbase, laundrette, etc.) to make the commune of Gosier even more attractive from a maritime point of view.
