SALTINE BEACH
A white sand beach swept by the trade winds and protected by the coral reef, popular with water sports enthusiasts.
A large white sand beach swept by the trade winds while being protected by the coral reef off shore. It is rather frequented by water sports enthusiasts, kitesurfing and windsurfing in particular (especially on the strip closest to Sainte-Anne). A very beautiful beach which really deserves more attention from the commune in terms of maintenance because it is constantly invaded by algae. The site saw the landing of Victor Hugues who participated in the abolition of slavery. A stele has been erected on the beach since 2000.
