Babin beach, renowned for its mud, is a popular destination for locals thanks to the many virtues of this precious clay.

On this beach, the only one in the commune, do not expect to alternate sunbathing on a carpet of white sand and swimming in turquoise water. On the contrary, Babin beach is known for its mud. It is frequented by the local population who attribute many virtues to it. Its mud is said to relieve rheumatism, arthritis, skin diseases and to soften the skin in an exceptional way. It is thus very frequent to meet people, even whole families, coming out of the water, covered with this so precious clay.

This is the "sewer" beach of the NO Grande Terre mangrove zone: little substance, but vase. very natural environment is restful.

La plage de Babin est le lieu idéal pour achever sa journée d'exploration de la faune et la flore de la mangrove guedeloupéenne et du Grand Cul de sac marin. Certes, on est à des années lumières des plages de Deshaies ou St François par son aspect vaseux, mais ici, le dépaysement est total et le coucher de soleil magnifique.

Plage sans réel intérêt sauf pour les bains de boue très recherché, par contre le coucher du soleil est absolument bà faire face à la mangrove et le ballets des oiseaux
