In 2021, Jean-Paul, originally from Point, and his wife Aude discovered the virtues of calophyllum, a tree that grows on their land in Petit-Bourg. In their laboratory, they use the seed to make products to combat insect bites, sunburn, healing and menstrual pain. These products can be found in a number of outlets, including their boutique: a tastefully restored Creole hut, which doubles as a tea room and coworking space. A soothing place in the heart of Pointe-à-Pitre.
