A site steeped in history, one of the heritage sites on the "La Route de l'Esclave - Traces mémoires en Guadeloupe" tour.
This site was selected, along with 17 other emblematic heritage sites, to form part of the "La Route de l'Esclave - Traces mémoires en Guadeloupe" circuit, because of its link with the history of slavery. This itinerary has been developed to provide a better understanding of the archipelago's painful history.
The hundred or so slaves who worked on this rum and sugar-producing estate were housed in huts.
