NOGENT SUGAR REFINERY
Sugar shop where the chef concocts dishes inspired by traditional Creole cuisine.
Dating back to 1669, this former sugar factory was one of the archipelago's first sugar factories. After a long period of neglect, the stone building underwent major restoration work in 2006. The dishes on offer are all inspired by traditional Creole cuisine, and the vegetables served come from the Sucrerie garden just a few kilometers away. On Friday evenings, the speciality is Creole soup. Two studios are available for rent on site. The beach and coastal path are just a few meters away.
