SEVERVINIAN AREA

The distillery has been producing rum from father to son since 1928. It is one of the last Caribbean distilleries still operating thanks to a paddle wheel dating back to the 1930s, which is actuated by the current of the river, captured through a canal built by hand… The guided tour, on board a tourist train, for 35 minutes, allows you to understand the different stages of the manufacturing process of agricultural rum. You drive in the middle of the cane fields and in the surrounding countryside to a beautiful viewpoint of Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin. You can also discover the park of the former house on foot (it's about 30-minute visit). The estate also produces products of the Créole Food brand: peppers, a range of sauces, mustards, flavoured cane vinegar, dessert spices, pasta for cod fish cake… Products found in Séverin, the restaurant, and in the grocery stores and supermarkets in Guadeloupe.

Creole Garden: You can walk through a beautiful Creole garden lovingly created by May Marsolle, wife of the owner of the Joseph Marsolle estate. You will see many species of exotic plants and flowers.
