Anse du Vieux-Fort is an inviting place for a stroll, with the first stop at the lighthouse and the second at the long, beautiful Clugny beach.
The first stop is for the lighthouse, the second stop for the long and beautiful beach of Clugny. The natural site offers a choice panorama, between mountains and coast and allows a nice walk. The sand has a very particular golden colour due to the association of the rocks of the Soufrière volcano and the limestone of Grande-Terre.
Be careful when swimming because of the long waves and strong currents. The beach is very busy, but it is imperative to be careful. It is also a nesting site for turtles.
