A fort dating from 1777 atop a morne, representing a rampart for the Saintes archipelago, some ruins remain.

Heavily armed at the time and facing Fort Napoleon, it represented, in a way, a bulwark for Les Saintes. Built in 1777 while the islet had an important activity, it was destroyed by the English in 1809. There is nothing left but ruins now.

La visite est à faire avec la guide qui est très bien .Humour et explication intéressants.
Vous pouvez voir de nombreux iguanes dans le jardin ou demander au jardinier qu'il vous les montre.
Set high on the islet in cabrit, fort Josephine was a strategic place of defence of Saint during Napoleon, it was the entrance point bay, today it remains the ruins
