GRANDSTAND
Clear, fine sand beach with trade winds, swells and strong currents, nesting ground for sea turtles.
Grande Anse beach is as beautiful as it is dangerous! Its swells and powerful currents mean that swimming is permanently prohibited. However, its exceptional stretch of fine, clear sand (over 1 kilometer long) makes it a favorite spot for joggers and walkers, who enjoy the trade winds as they stroll along. The view over the islands of Dominique and Marie-Galante is superb. This is a nesting site for sea turtles, and you may be lucky enough to witness the birth of babies between May and July.
