EMBROIDERY CENTRE
Center to promote traditional embroidery, exhibiting women's creations and on-site store.
The center, located in an annex of the town hall awaiting new premises, was created in 1980 to promote traditional embroidery, a practice that has been practiced by women in this part of the island for 300 years. Some twenty embroiderers are members of the association, exhibiting their creations: magnificent works, tablecloths, christening dresses, white cotton doilies and finely chiselled lace. A boutique is also available on site. Workshops are organized during the school vacations. Call them for more information.
