The tourist office hosts the cabinet of curiosities of the paleontologist Marcellin Boule (1861-1942), native of Montsalvy. Among the remarkable elements: a microscope offered by the Academy of Sciences to the young scientist in 1891; the material for his excavations; fossils and minerals including an Acheulean biface (200,000 years old) from the Aurillac region (Cantal); the book Les Hommes fossiles - Eléments de paléontologie, published in 1921, which had international success.
