Encouraging the exchange of information and plants between orchid-loving collectors is the vocation of Ionopsis, the orchid club of Martinique. The island is indeed home to a host of species of orchids, hybrid or not, which also exist in their natural state (vanda, phalaenopsis, denbrobium, vanilla, oncidium...). It must be said that the climatic conditions are ideal in Martinique for orchids that love heat and humidity. The club also organizes visits of gardens or sites rich in orchids on the island.
