In the heart of lush vegetation, J.M is one of the island's last artisanal distilleries. The sugar cane comes from the Habitation Bellevue on highly fertile volcanic soil, ideal for growing exceptional sugar cane. From the fermentation vats to the distillation columns, the tour is designed to appeal to all the senses, right through to the boutique, where you can sample singular single casks and exceptional aged rums.

The Housing Bellevue is located on the commune of Macouba, in the North East of the island of Martinique, at the foot of the Mountain Pelee between the River Rocks and the river of Macouba.

Le nouvel espace dédié au Rhum est magnifique. Il a l'élégance et la qualité du Rhum JM. Le petit tour en 4x4 dans les plantation de cannes et de banane sont un passage obligé.
The small round 4x4 through the sugar cane is very pleasant, the guide explains the plants that you can see region, a little history as well as the small warehouse where people sort bananas...it is true all that the smell author distillery is not very pleasant (worn water...) but it is pleasant and then especially rum is very good!! always moderation... ; -)
We found a means of transport original to get to distillery JM at Macouba. We made hiking buggy in the heart of the lush vegetation lower Tip.The Guide available to follow a course beauty through the pineapple fields, banana fields.The show is beautiful with itswaterfalls, rivers and caribbean Flora.The last escale is done with Distillery JM in Macouba. Des petites cabines vous permettent de découvrir olfactivement les différentes "senteurs" que l'on retrouve habituellement dans les rhums agricoles(fruits exotiques, tabac, épices etc etc). En face, se trouvent 7 fioles en verre, chacune contient un rhum différent. Des petits leds éclairent chaque fiole par en-dessous pour mieux apprécier la couleur de chaque rhum. Vous pouvez humer chaque rhum et, si un ou plusieurs vous plaisent, vous prenez la fiche descriptive correspondante.
Ensuite, vous remettez vos fiches à une hôtesse qui vous fera déguster les rhums choisis. Contrairement aux 7 autres distilleries que j'ai visitées en Martinique et en Guadeloupe, les rhums sont proposés dans de jolis verres et pas dans des gobelets en plastique.
