The CDST, located at the foot of Montagne Pelée, is a symbolic place of remembrance of the eruption of May 8, 1902. This exceptional site, with its unique earthquake-proof building, features a themed garden on major natural hazards, an unprecedented aerial view of Martinique, the characteristics and history of Montagne Pelée, and temporary interactive scientific exhibitions. A number of films are also shown, including the moving and instructive Volcans des Antilles.

With not lost if you want to understand the workings of the volcanoes and therefore the history of Saint Pierre. It is a teaching museum which address with any public, mixing photos of archives, film, workshops fun. It is really well done.
