LE SENTIER DES RAVENALES
The Sentier des ravenales is only a few kilometres from Saint-Benoît, in the departmental forest of the Crater. This easy 2.8 kilometre loop bears the Malagasy name of the traveller's tree, a beautiful exotic tree plant, but which is in fact an invasive species. In the end, we see very few of them here. The hike offers several routes, including one that takes you through fords and ladders, but without difficulty, even for children (to be avoided in rainy weather). At the start, kiosks with a view of the sea allow you to picnic.
