On the seafront, north of Saint-Paul, just follow the signs. This pond, which basks in the sun in a pleasant undergrowth, is a reservoir of rich biodiversity covering 485 hectares. Here you can observe moorhens, herons and papangues. The Étang de Saint-Paul was classified as a national nature reserve in 2008. It is the largest coastal wetland in the Mascareignes archipelago. Lieu très agréable côtoyant l'océan. Très belles promenades à faire. Parcours de santé suffisamment long et bien praticable, que ce soit en courant ou en marchant.

The Saint Paul is huge, the " Tour of the Rocks " as a wife about contours, pools for culture cress, old has closes will camarons (large prawns built in pool), the old mill with water and its pool clear water and fresh in which the kids of Saint Paul come to bathe during the hottest...

If you want to visit the interior of the pond more, admire the fauna and flora of this protected area, take a good local guide, there are enough to get lost in all these canals invaded by large aquatic herbs!
