LE WARREN HASTING
Restaurant with a warm welcome in Saint-Philippe serving excellent cuisine.
The Warren Hastings, named after India's first governor general, was a British steamer that ran aground on January 14, 1897 in front of St. Philip's Square. It is also the name of this restaurant, run by the same owners as the Vieux Port au Tremblet (a reference in local cuisine). If the Warren Hasting looks more like a roadside snack, don't be mistaken: its cuisine is excellent and the welcome very warm. Still a bit expensive! Take the opportunity to ask questions to the chef, he knows a lot about the town.
