The best-known botanical trail. It begins at the stele of Thérésien Cadet, the professor who drew the attention of biologists to the richness of this forest. A primary forest on an ancient lava flow features species that have mostly disappeared from the rest of the island. Signs provide information on the species to be observed and their main characteristics. Two other loops, each lasting an hour, also allow you to explore the forest.
