ST. GEORGE'S CHURCH
Discovery of the magnificent carved crows, with a roped monkey, mermaids with scary masks in the church of Saint-Georges.
The church of St. George dates from the 12th century. Reshaped several times over the years, it has kept its remarkable chevet in the Auvergne Romanesque style. The bell tower dates from the 15th century. During the wars of religion, it became a barracks then a fortified castle. It remains the consoles of machicolation. The facade was redone, as well as the gable, between 1860 and 1872. Inside, your sense of curiosity will lead you to discover magnificent sculpted crows, but also a roped monkey, sirens with frightening masks or a group of fighters.
