COOPÉRATIVE DE SAINT BONNET DE SALERS
A beautiful stopover, on the gourmet route of the cheese route, to discover and understand the very legendary Cantal! Through several spaces open to the public (projection room, manufacturing workshops via a visit corridor) we learn here the evolution of cheese. The star of the place since 1956 is called "Saint-Bonnet", made from raw milk. Then in 2000, a unique product filled the cooperative, a Cantal made from the only Salers cow's milk, the beautiful redhead who likes to graze the green grass of the Auvergne mountains... Enjoy in all curiosity the Auvergne PDO cheeses with their remarkable reputation, and if the charm works, the shop is not far away to fill your basket! Address not to be missed for your shopping, then. Feel free to visit the cooperative's website: recipe ideas are regularly added to make your taste buds quiver.
