The Musée de la Haute-Auvergne is housed in the former bishop's palace, built in the 17th century right next to the cathedral. Dedicated to art and popular life in Haute-Auvergne, it has one of the finest collections of domestic furniture in France. But it also presents archaeological collections resulting from research in the region. In the reception room of the former bishops, it presents masterpieces of religious statuary from the 12th to the 19th century.
