THE BLUE HALL
A market hall built in the century in Saint-Flour, which hosts the market in winter and shows and exhibitions in summer.
Built in the 15th century, the Halle aux Bleds was over the years part of the Notre-Dame collegiate church, a grain store, then a meeting room before housing the back shop of the adjacent businesses. Extensively damaged, a restoration program in the 2000s has allowed this remarkable building to be enhanced. The Gothic vault is made of wood. The contemporary stained glass windows are the work of the Italian artist Marino di Teana. In winter, it serves as a covered market. In summer, it hosts shows and exhibitions.
