The Font-Sainte sanctuary has been a place of pilgrimage since 1886.

At an altitude of 1,230 meters above sea level in the commune of Saint-Hippolyte, the Font Sainte sanctuary has been a place of pilgrimage since 1886, harking back to much earlier times in the 6th and 7th centuries. Spiritual events take place here in summer, as do the "montade" and "dévalade" processions, during which the statue of Notre-Dame de la Font Sainte ascends from the church of Saint-Hippolyte to the Font Sainte chapel and then descends again, at the beginning and end of the season.
