Café de France (formerly Moricette and Paco Cabana) is the haunt of the French living in Santo Domingo, offering excellent croissants and pains au chocolat in the colonial zone. Perfect for a French-style breakfast, a savoury break (croque-monsieur, club sandwich) or a juice or smoothie made from fresh fruit. Aperitifs on the terrace, watching the bustle of the street, are also very convivial. No doubt you'll find a French speaker if you feel the need. Fast service.
