For a number of years, the place was a trendy bar where the Dominican golden youth gathered to share tapas in the midst of a manufactured shoe store, but the café has now closed! But not thealpargata store! These are traditionally hand-tied shoes (which give the place its name). Inside, you'll find a large room furnished with recycled objects and a beautiful, colorful outdoor patio set in a garden of palm trees. A great and original gift idea, to say the least!
