Facing the cathedral, the two-storey store is more like an air-conditioned shopping mall, orchestrated by a ballet of salespeople. Here you'll find the whole arsenal of Dominican souvenirs: rum, cigars, amber and larimar jewelry, sculptures and paintings by Dominican and Haitian artists (the quality varies from one work to the next...). All in a slightly impersonal atmosphere. There are also restaurants where you can stop for lunch before or after your shopping spree and take home souvenirs in your luggage.
