THE PERTUS CERVIX
The Pertus pass links the Cère valley to the Jordanne valley at Saint-Jacques-des-Blats.
A road in the mountain since it connects the valley of the Cère to that of the Jordanne. Starting point of many hiking trails towards the puy Griou, the Elancèze, the wild Courpou... On the way to Elancèze, you will find authentic wolf traps built in the ground. The last wolves to have frequented these woods date back to the end of the XIXth, beginning of the XXth century, but it seems that migrations are bringing this species back to the Massif Central. Not to be missed! Often closed in winter because of the snow. Ask for information.
