CANTAL LEAD
Plomb du Cantal, the summit of the department, is also the highest point of the ski resort of Lioran.
At an altitude of 1,855 metres, the Plomb du Cantal is the highest peak in the department. With its rounded shape, like an apple, it is recognizable from afar. It forms a fringe of the ancient stratovolcano with the crater on the Lioran side and the lava flow on the Prat-de-Bouc side. It is the highest point of the Lioran ski resort. An orientation table awaits the visitor on the spot for a 360° view. To the east, on a clear sky, you can see the Alps. At night, the atmosphere is magical between the starry vault and the lights of the surrounding towns and villages.
