At the mouth of the Río Higuamo and close to the cathedral, the Rio Mar restaurant (referred to by locals as Robby Mar) is one of the town's most pleasant establishments. Some would even say it's the best restaurant in San Pedro de Macoris. Renowned for its seafood specialties, it serves excellent crabs and lobsters, as well as grilled fish and delicious, generous seafood platters. The decor may be a little old-fashioned, but the service is very friendly. THE place to go in town!
