One of the house specialties is mofongo, a typical Puerto Rican plantain dish. People come from all over town to enjoy it on the covered terrace with its colorful tables. The other is grilled meats, a la parilla. Also soups, pasta, marinated or filleted fish. And a few coconut desserts to end on a sweet note. The menu is varied, so there's something for everyone. A warm, Dominican atmosphere. El Zaguan is one of La Vega's finest restaurants.
