The handicraft market, the Mercado Nuevo, is housed in a concrete structure with a resolutely modern and aggressive architecture. The mercado nuevo is almost ruins but the small local market offers typical local produce. Every Wednesday, a market crumple is organised by Haitians come to sell clothes second hand. Noisy and colourful market, a visit to change itself
