It divides the locality into two parts: to the west, the Dominican village of Los Charamicos, and to the east, El Batey, more developed touristically. The sand is very white and the water incredibly crystal clear. Beautiful panoramic view of the bay. But the beach is much too crowded with sunbathers and water sports enthusiasts... It is difficult to escape all kinds of solicitations. We have to wait until 5pm for the place to regain its peaceful aspect. The pink and orange swirls of the sunset are then the most beautiful of shows.

Attention, on a good half of the beach is almost next to the beach, they are nice for those that make a little snorckling but for bathing it is average. Very- tourist beach and weekend it is difficult to find a place on the sand. Numerous bars, restaurants and shops not very interesting and often run by foreigners. I prefer to go there at sunrise, it is deserted and magnificent.
Nous aimions boire un verre sous les arbres et regarder les dominicains jouer aux échecs et déambuler le long de la plage ...
