Inaugurated on August 8, 2018 by Evo Morales, the Casa Grande del Pueblo is an ultra-modern 29-story, 120-meter-high building that dominates the skyline of La Paz. It is the new presidential palace, replacing the old Palacio Quemado. The building houses various offices such as those of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture. A monumental fresco by Mamani Mamani decorates the reception hall. If the building is unfortunately closed to the public, it remains a curiosity of the city, representing well the ideas of grandeur of president Morales
