PLAZA ABAROA
Central square of Sopocachi, named in honor of Eduardo Abaroa and houses his statue with restaurants, bars, shops around
It is the central square of Sopocachi, named in honor of Eduardo Abaroa, the Bolivian hero of the Pacific War. A big statue of this last, realized by Emiliano Lujan Sandoval, is besides in the center of this beautiful flowery space. All around is a myriad of restaurants, bars, shops, banks... The square is a place of life and meeting for the inhabitants of the neighborhood: people walk freely, the youngest go cycling, families, picnics, and there are kiosks and other street vendors.
