KANTATALLITA
Rectangular structure with carved arch lintel, engravings with zoomorphic motifs, holes for the insertion of gold plates
Kantatallita means 'the light of dawn'. This rectangular structure has an interesting carved arch lintel with fine carvings of zoomorphic motifs. Note the holes for the gold plates. The plates were sent to the Casa de Contratacion in Seville, as were most of the Andean works in noble metal. You will also find a model of some of the buildings in the complex, made by the Tiwanakota architects in a huge block of stone, demonstrating their advanced skills.
