Some cambios (exchange houses) in the main street and on the Plaza Sucre: Bolivian pesos, Peruvian soils, dollars, euros.
Attention! There is an increase in pickpocketing during peak periods, particularly during the Feast of the Virgin Mary between August 1 and 15. The usual recommendations cannot be repeated too often. Never separate from your belongings, do not leave them out of your sight! Tourist transport provided by shuttles from La Paz agencies or hotels seems to be the safest (in the past, robberies were mentioned...).
