The result of a project that is a reference, both in terms of community participation and environmental preservation, this hostel is run jointly by the inhabitants of the village of Caripe. It is quite expensive but the place is comfortable: small and well kept rooms with heating, private sanitary facilities (hot water), restaurant. The place is beautiful, the view on the Sajama with the small church in the foreground is the subject of superb photos. A place where writers could meditate for days on their next book!

Apéritif improvisé avec les victuailles que nous avions apportées dans nos bagages et que nous avons partagées avec eux (comté, saucisson, tome de Savoie), tout ça arrosé de vin rouge local, un pur bonheur.
Le repas concocté pour nous était sublime. Petit déjeuner très copieux.
On peut aussi y acheter bonnet, écharpe, gants en laine d'alpaga, tous les articles étant faits main.
